PROGRAMME SYNOPSIS

He mended his own clothes. He raced his wife across a courtyard. He kissed her before leaving for prayer, and helped with the housework without being asked.

Fourteen centuries later, Muslimah scroll past content that calls this kind of devotion “outdated.” Somewhere between then and now, the very love the Qur'an describes as sakinah, meaning tranquillity, for the women closest to Rasulullah ﷺ has quietly been recast as submission to be resisted rather than dignity to be lived.

This Maulid, #SoulSisters gathers Muslimah of all ages to revisit, honestly and without romanticising or flattening either
era, how Khadijah, 'Aisyah and the household of Rasulullah ﷺ loved, trusted, and stood beside him, and to ask: what does
that mean for how we love our own husbands today?

An honest conversation about the woman each of us is capable of becoming.

Because the wives of Rasulullah ﷺ were not soft because they had no choice. They were soft because they knew exactly what they were building, and why.
